The IntelliGolf Eagle Pro edition, Eagle Value edition, and Eagle GPS Option software provides the ability to view distances from tee-to-green with GPS accuracy using industry-leading GPS receivers and smartphones with embedded GPS chips. With a certified GPS receiver attached to your handheld, or a GPS-enabled smartphone, the IntelliGolf software will provide you with GPS distances to the 200, 150, 100 yard/meter markers, to the front, center, and back of the Green, and up to three (3) custom fairway locations (e.g. creek, sand trap, lake, etc) for GPS-enabled courses (see below). Without a GPS receiver, IntelliGolf's latest IntelliGPSŪ technology will automatically predict distances to the 200, 150, 100 yard/meter markers, and to the front, center, and back of the Green from the "tee box". As such, you don't have to own a GPS receiver to start enjoying the benefits of IntelliGolf today. Just tap on the "satellite icon" at the bottom of the main scoring screen and start viewing IntelliGPS distances immediately. Club selection has never been easier. You can also track your shots using GPS with the IntelliGolf Eagle and Eagle GPS Option software and a compatible GPS receiver or GPS-enabled smartphone. Please see the shot "Start" and shot "Stop" buttons in the GPS distances screen to the left. Pressing "Start" will turn on GPS tracking (i.e. from where you hit the ball). Press "Stop" when you reach your ball and your total distance will automatically be fed into the shot tracking section of IntelliGolf. It couldn't be easier! Plus, if your favorite golf course's GPS coordinates aren't uploaded yet, you can use the GPS Survey screen (and a GPS receiver) to quickly enter your course during play. Simply tap on the Record button as you reach the 200, 150, and 100 yard/meter markers, any of three custom fairway locations (e.g. creek, sand trap, lake, etc) per hole, and the front, center, and back of the green. IntelliGolf will record these GPS coordinates for you and automatically convert them into distance readings. The next time you play the course, all of your entered GPS coordinates will be present. Or, before your Round of golf, you can use our FREE Course Survey Editor (CSE - found via the Courses web page) to enter the course's GPS coordinates using Google Earth. The CSE is easy and fun to use! Footnote: One of the most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) that we get is "Why does the IntelliGolf software provide GPS-based "distances" vs "course maps"?" This is actually by design. To find out the answer to this question please click here.
